More than just theory, we emphasis what works. Built on the experience of people living with dementia, the supporting families, best care practice and personal development. Developed and produced by two occupational therapists and experts in dementia care and Validation therapy.

The aim of the six sessions is to give supporting partners and families the skills and confidence to know they are giving the very best care possible for everyone to live well.

 ‘We show you how to make the day-to-day ups and downs of family life with dementia easier and as rewarding as possible. At the end of the six sessions, you will have a comprehensive overview of dementia and the journey ahead’.

Provides guidance for individuals and organisations with Facilitators introduction how to use the booklets and facilitate a 2-2 ½ hour programme. This is designed to create 3 ‘turning points’ along the journey, Discovery, Taking control and Driving care.

Contains a Lesson plan and suggestions and tips and suggested materials and equipment
